Who are Kawau Design New Zealand Ltd?
Kawau Design New Zealand is a Maori owned and operated business based in Otorohanga, Aotearoa ¨C New Zealand. Our company was incorporated in Hamilton, New Zealand on 8 April 2005. The Directors of the company are Miriana and Keith Ikin.
Kawau Design NZ Ltd is committed to providing a touch of Aotearoa culture to our homes in New Zealand and the World, with high quality environmentally friendly Aotearoa design home-ware and clothing.
Kawau Design NZ Ltd values relationships that are long term, mutually beneficial and rewarding.
We respect Ranginui (Sky Father) and Papatuanuku (Mother Earth), those who have gone before, those who make our business possible, each other and those yet to come.
We will act with honesty and integrity and recognise at all times the responsibility we have to our Whanau (family), our communities, our culture and the environment.

Why shop with us?
Our online store is open 24 hours a day which means we are never closed! All of our products are unique to Aotearoa New Zealand, are of a high quality and (wherever possible) are environmentally friendly.

Shopping - Where do I start?
Simply select from the categories at the side of the screen. Once inside a category you can browse through the sub categories available.
You may also search using the search box located at the top left. If you cannot find what you are looking for please contact us, we're always happy to help.

How do I purchase an item?
Once you have found the item you want, you simply click 'buy now'. This will add the product to your shopping Kete.
You can continue to shop and add more products to your Kete as you go.
When you think you have everything you need you then select the word 'checkout' located on the shopping Kete panel.
This will take you to the shopping Kete screen.
Here you check your items and order details are correct and then click on the word 'checkout' to proceed.

How can I tell if my order has been placed successfully?
You will receive confirmation instantly on the website and this will be followed up with an email from us. If there are any problems with the order you will be notified at this time.

How do I pay for my purchases?
Kawau Design New Zealand Ltd accepts Visa and Mastercard.
All payments are processed through an online secure payment page.
Other payment options available are direct credit banking, cheque payment or phone order.
Please note, if cheque or direct transfer methods are used, funds will need to be cleared prior to your items being sent.

Here at Kawau Design New Zealand we understand the importance of credit card safety. We can assure you than your credit card details will be well looked after.

How much do you charge for delivery?
Please refer to our delivery schedule details in the delivery section of this site.
How will my item be sent?
All goods will be sent via courier. If you have purchased an item which has been labelled as a BULK ITEM you will be contacted with an individual quotation for shipping.
Goods will be are packaged to ensure protection and we provide a gift wrap service for an additional cost.

Can I use a PO Box address for delivery?
Unfortunately we cannot deliver to a Postal Box. We require a physical address due to the size of our parcels and the importance of the product inside. We also prefer purchases to be delivered in person. We deliver to home or office. Please refer to our delivery section for more details.
