Events that Kawau Design NZ has attended
Sydney Waitangi Day - Rockdale - Saturday 11 & 12 February 2006
The Kawau Design NZ Ltd was fortunate to have been invited to attend the annual Rockdale festival. Around 5,000 Kiwis attended the event and enjoyed Kiwi bands, food and stalls. Actually I do not think we have ever seen so many Maori with moko at one event before! Kawau Design NZ Ltd made many contacts and was again very well received.
Kawhia Traditional Maori Kai Festival - Saturday 4 February 2006
The Kawhia traditional Maori kai festival has been described as ¡°A taste experience of traditional Maori kai from the sea and the land.¡± This year thousands of visitors flocked to the small King Country coastal village. It was an awesome day, full of cultural activities, and a huge tasty array of delicious, mouth-watering, traditional and modern Maori kai. For many Tainui people, it became a day for renewing ties with whanau and friends, and re-connecting with their spiritual homeland. For others it was an opportunity to participate in a friendly Maori experience. The MC for the day was 'Pio Terei' who was at his funniest.
Kawau Design NZ Ltd was proud to support a local community event and ate so much awesome food that they are really looking forward to next year¡¯s festival!
